Who We Are

The Continual Opportunities and Outcome-Based Learning Program (The COOL Program) was founded to address the Mental and Behavioral Health needs of children and their families in the Metro Atlanta areas. The COOL Program’s comprehensive behavioral health service focuses on providing a multi-cultural approach to counseling that addresses not only mental health but takes into consideration the cultural and environmental concerns that many of our families face. It is the mission of The COOL Program Counseling Services to ensure every consumer has the Opportunity to Achieve and the Expectation to Succeed.

Mission:

It is the mission of The COOL Program Counseling Services, LLC. to provide our Clients with life-impacting services that promotes self- growth and helps build strong family ties and a striving community. In order to achieve that goal, TCP provides supports that focuses on increasing access to mental health, educational, and medical services. Consequently, it is our commitment to inspire and promote optimal development in the life of each individual.

Founder

Robert Hendrix

Robert Hendrix, founder of The COOL Program Counseling Services, LLC is a Licensed Clinician specializing in Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy. Mr. Hendrix has provided Mental Health services for Healthcare Institutions, the United States Military, Community Organizations, School Systems, and Substance Abuse Treatment programs. As Program Director of The C.O.O.L. Program, Mr. Hendrix has partnered with the Clayton County Schools System’s SPARK Program to provide Mental Health supports to students and their families directly in the schools and community. Mr. Hendrix is also a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) who provides Clinical Supervision for counselors seeking licensure.

Growing up in Atlanta, GA, Mr. Hendrix witnessed firsthand the negative impact mental health needs and lack of access to services can have on a community. Mr. Hendrix has worked with numerous state and government agencies such as the Department of Child & Family Services (DFCS) and the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to ensure needed services are not only available but provided to families in a culturally sensitive manner. It is the vision of Mr. Hendrix and The COOL Program, Inc that every child has the Opportunity to Achieve and Expectation to Succeed.
