ABOUT US
The C.O.O.L. Program, Inc. (TCP) is a community-based Mental Health agency that provides comprehensive psychological and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families in the Clayton County and Metro Atlanta areas. Our clinicians provide therapeutic supports to help clients dealing with emotional, behavioral, or academic difficulties in both home and/or community settings. Concerns addressed include depression, anxiety, thoughts of self-harm, academic difficulties, and other mental health issues that are impacting our client’s functioning and interpersonal interactions.
We have been successful in our clinical approach and aligned our offices with prominent medical facilities within the Atlanta area to ensure our clients receive the therapeutic and psychiatric supports needed. We believe in treating the overall health of the child and family and understand the importance of addressing both the medical and behavioral health concerns our clients face.
TCP has a full array of services including individual therapy, family counseling, behavior skills training, parenting education, community resource linkage, and academic supports. Our focus is to provide a comprehensive mental health service for children and their families, so some of the issues addressed include physical and sexual trauma, bullying, difficulties sustaining attention, disruptive school behaviors, and illegal substance use. As a community-based agency, our clinicians provide services in the home, school, community centers, and other locations to effectively meet the needs of our clients and their families.
Our inclusive approach ensures we educate parents on the issues their child is experiencing, as well as provide training on how parents can best support the child. We also work in conjunction with local school systems, the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to provide support and education to families with the intent to maintain and help create communities where children and adolescents are safe.
We hope that you will allow us time to discuss this with you further. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
